In case of violence, or suicide behaviours hospital admission should be considered.

What is done in an IQ test?
The IQ test is individually administered test of intelligence. It consists of approximately 10-15 subtests in various areas of intellectual functioning (verbal reasoning, visual-spatial processing. etc.). It may take anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete. The specific series of tests to be administered are decided by a clinical psychologist and this is detailed in the final report.
What happens in marital counselling?
The purpose of couples therapy is to put you and your significant other in a room with a neutral mediator to help you make sense of what's going on in your relationship. The counsellor's responsibility is to the relationship, and both of you will get equal time, attention and understanding. You may be given exercises as homework to learn ways of coping with relationship problems. Subsequently you are encouraged to resolve some issues using the techniques you have learned. The aim is to teach you, the couple, the skills to resolve issues productively as they arise in the future.
What is the quality of the psychological test report?
We ensure high quality reports by using standardised tests that are administered by qualified psychologists in controlled conditions. An experienced clinical psychologist interprets the test results. The interpretations from the battery of tests are correlated to produce a clinically relevant report.
